#1 Dire Straits - Walk Of Life
The first time I heard this song was on a family trip, we were on our way to a cravan site in Wales and as soon as this song came on me and my brother couldnt stop dancing, every time I hear that song I'm reminded of being happy and being with my family. It's such an upbeat song!
#2 Amy Winehouse - Valarie
This song will forever be my kararoke song! Whenever its on I'm always singing my heart out, I have sang this song with so many people on nights out! It's one of them tracks that has everyone singing. It also reminds me of my dad because he played Amy Winehouse as I was growing up.
#3 Aqua - Barbie Girl
I'm sure this is in every 90's kids top ten songs! And if its not then where have you been?! This song is a blast from the past, its a top karaoke and party track. I made up so many dance routines to this, I also sang to this one year at a talent show in school. I used to be obseesed with Aqua! I actually remember keeping a family friend Tom sat watching my dance routine for this track for ages! I could tell he'd rather of been elsewhere but every time I screwed up he'd restart the song for me!
#4 Los del Rio - Macarena
Again another track a 90's baby will always remember. This was a track played every week at the roller rink me and my friends used to go to, every friday we'd put our pink tutu's on with rave paint on our faces, we used to think we were so cool, looking back now makes me cringe. This song would always be played and everyone used to gather in the middle and do the Macarena dance!
#5 Bob Marley - Three Little Birds
This will always remind me of my dad and step mum Karyn. Growing up Bob Marley would always be played in the house and in the car. I love the song, it makes me feel so happy! It makes me want to be on a beach with sun beaming down, sipping a cocktail. Bob Marleys music will always be kept alive in my house!
#6 Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply
This track was always on the TV and Radio growing up, I'd always sing it with my mum! I remeber having a crush on someone in school and I'd sing it to him around the play ground ( yes, I know cringe! ) It is a song that takes me back to being in school and thinking I was in love with everyone! Young love, hey!
#7 Mariah Carey - Hero
I sang this in primary school for an X - Factor themed talent show, and I only went and won it. I got a medal and everything! I was so happy when my head teacher announced I was the winner. This is also a song that has sad memories, I used to cry myself to sleep on many nights with this song on repeat.
#8 Britney Spears - Oops I Did It Again
A song that all the girls will remember, we used to think we were the Sh*t dancing to this song! I had so many dance routines for this song, growing up Britney was the singer I'd always listen to, I had her albums and posters all over my bedroom! I'd grab anything that looked like a microphone and sing this song in my mirror.
#9 Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way
Another song that reminds me of me and my mum singing, dancing around her living room. I think BackStreet Boys are a band my mum listened to, I'm sure she had there album and that is how I was introduced. It's a song that you cant help but sing to, even if it is cringey listening to it now.
#10 Vengaboys - We're Going to Ibiza
This was my holiday song! It was always played during summer holidays, on coach trips, school outings! Everywhere, everyone loved this song haha! I dont know anyone that hasnt heard this song and had a sing along to it, its a happy song and just gets you ready for a holiday!
