The title is a question to yourself. Can beauty come in all shapes and sizes? Off course it can, that's exactly what beauty is.. Variety. Difference is what seperates us, it's what makes us different, no two people are the same and that's what I think beauty is.
My passion is photography and I have had the pleasure to photograph many things and many people and they have all in there own way been beautiful. It's easy to judge a book by it's cover and we all do/have done it! You judge someones face, because maybe they have loads of piercings and crazy tattoo's.. Now that may be ugly to you but the person you have just catergorized as ugly actually is beautiful in my opinion, do you know why? Because he/she is a human being, and the amount of tattoos and piercings they have does not define there beauty.
There are two types of beauty I believe, inner and outer beauty. The outer is obviously what you see physically and how other people see you from the outside, from your skin, to your hair colour, to the way you smile. And inner beauty is how you feel, the things you think of, your dreams, your passions and how people connect with you.
One thing that frustrates me more than anything is when people are catergorized, so because you are over a size 16 you are FAT, because you are a man attracted to another man you are BENT, because you have scars you are a FREAK. You are not defined by those things, you are more that just a label. I feel as time is moving on people are becoming more acceptance of difference, I think it's great! Because our imperfections make us who we are, not one of us in this world is perfect!
Be comfertable in your own skin, love all the things that make you different. Embrace your imperfections and make them beautiful. See yourself as beautiful because that's exactly what you are. Take in your surroundings, notice the small things.
If your not happy then do something about it, we have one life and we need to live it the happiest we can!
"The more often we see the things around us - even the beautiful and wonderful things - the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds - even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less". - Joseph B. Wirthlin.
I'd just like to remind you reading this to STOP and THINK the next time you go to judge someone. You are beautiful, I am beautiful, we are all beautiful.
